I am so thankful to have had surgery at Pathway Surgery. My surgeon was Dr Abouali.  He performed a bicep tendon and rotator cuff re-attachment. Pathway Surgery bridged all the roadblocks that I had encountered with NB provincial healthcare system to make this surgery possible.  I was first contacted by Joe and he did an incredible job navigating me through the process for out-of-province private healthcare.  It was excellent healthcare and the nurses and other attendants eased my worries with their kindness.  Other patients in the surgical unit had re-assured me that I was in good hands because they were return patients. Dr. Sebastian Rodriguez-Elizalde performed Anterior Hip Replacement on me. Prior to my surgery I could barely walk! I was in agony everyday! After my surgery, literally same day, I was walking with walker! Same day I was home and in a few days I switched to a cane. No pain and no narcotics.  Just followed his instructions. Our 14yr old son tore his meniscus playing football. Despite seeing an amazing Sports Medicine Doctor, we were getting nowhere with Alberta’s public system so we started researching alternatives. After finding Pathway Surgery and Dr. Pauyo in Montreal, we reached out to book a consult. While waiting for the consult (10 days) we also got him in for an MRI and sent the results off to Pathway. At our consult (which occurred on a Wednesday) Dr. Pauyo confirmed what the radiologist had seen on the MRI and recommended surgery.  Three days later we were flying to Montreal and he had surgery on the 4th day after the consult.

Even with the extremely short timeframe to get organized, the concierge we were assigned, Joseph, kept everything on track. He helped us with accommodations, keeping us informed, moving paperwork back and forth quickly, and making payment easy and efficient. The rest of their team were all quick to respond and made sure we were comfortable with every step of the process.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience and great communication that we had with Pathway Surgery. Without them, it is likely our son would miss multiple football, ski, and school sports seasons, and have been suffering from a very diminished quality of life. Thank you!!!

We used Pathway Surgery for knee arthroscopy for our 15 year old son who needed MPFL reconstruction. Pathway offered stellar organisational services for pre-op and post-op care. We had a scheduling issue and Joseph was available to answer questions and make the necessary arrangements, and found an amazing surgeon. We were extremely satisfied with Dr. Abouali and our son had hardly any pain or swelling after the operation as trauma was considerably minimized. We also really appreciated the team of nurses and other professionals who were available to support us, and who were efficient and friendly. Pathway Surgery and Dr. Rodriguiz were amazing! They jumped through hoops to expedite my surgery. The pre-op was very smooth with lots of communication. The surgery at the Westmount Clinic was quick and easy. The medical team and support staff were very caring, attentive to detail and responsive. I walked out with my new hip in less than 24 hours!
