3 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity. These technologies help us deliver a better experience and measure the performance of our marketing efforts.

Technologies We Use

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Collects anonymized website usage data such as page views, session duration, and user interactions to help us understand how visitors use our site.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking

Tracks actions taken on our site (such as form submissions and phone call clicks) that result from a Google ad click, allowing us to measure advertising ROI.

Hotjar

Records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to help us understand how visitors navigate our pages, identify usability issues, and improve the user experience. Hotjar does not track personal data in recordings.

Browser Local Storage

We store lead source attribution data (such as UTM parameters and advertising click IDs) in your browser’s local storage to associate your inquiry with the referral source that brought you to our site.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website. For more information:

4 Advertising & Remarketing

Pathway Surgery uses online advertising services to reach people who may benefit from our orthopedic care coordination services. This includes:

Google Ads

We run paid search and display advertising through Google Ads. When you click on one of our ads, a Google Click ID (gclid) is attached to your visit. We use this information to track conversions (such as consultation form submissions) and measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns.

Remarketing

After visiting our website, you may see Pathway Surgery ads on other websites or platforms within the Google Display Network. These ads are served based on your previous visit to our site and are designed to provide relevant information about our services.

Conversion Measurement from Lead Submissions

When you submit a consultation request that originated from a Google ad, we may share a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your email address or phone number, along with the associated Google Click ID, back to Google Ads. This allows us to measure which advertising campaigns lead to genuine inquiries. The hashed identifiers cannot be reversed by Google or used to contact you, and are used solely for advertising measurement. You can opt out of this by contacting us using the information in section 11.

Opting Out of Targeted Advertising

You can opt out of personalized advertising through the following tools:

5 Communications & Messaging

When you submit a consultation request or contact us, you consent to receiving communications from Pathway Surgery related to your inquiry. This may include:

Phone Calls

Our patient liaison team may contact you by phone to discuss your needs, schedule a consultation, or provide follow-up information. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.

Email Communications

We may send you emails related to your consultation request, appointment confirmations, pre- and post-operative instructions, and follow-up care. We may also send periodic educational content related to orthopedic health. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email.

Text Messages (SMS)

With your consent, we may send text messages regarding appointment reminders, scheduling confirmations, and care coordination updates. Standard messaging rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message.

Call Click Tracking

When you click a phone number link on our website, we record the click event for analytics purposes (to measure how many website visitors initiate calls). We do not record the content of phone calls made through website click-to-call.
