Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through the wrist. Symptoms include numbness, tingling, and weakness in the thumb, index, and middle fingers. When conservative treatments don't provide relief, surgery can release the pressure on the nerve.
The TFCC (triangular fibrocartilage complex) is a structure on the pinky side of the wrist that stabilizes the joint. A tear can occur from a fall on an outstretched hand or repetitive twisting motions, causing pain and clicking. Treatment ranges from debridement (cleaning up torn tissue) to full repair depending on the tear type.
No referral is required. You can book a consultation directly with Pathway. Having recent imaging is helpful but not mandatory—we can help arrange it if needed.
